Chaniotakis Family is a small cretan beekeeping business focused on producing organic goods.

Our story starts back in 1982, when a young mathematician, Manolis, bought his first hive with a friend as a new hobby. He was hooked! By the end of the year, he owned ten more hives. As his love for the bees grew, so did their numbers. Eventually, Manolis managed by himself to turn his hobby into his dream job. 

Since then, our organic beehives have grown to hundreds in numerous apiaries across Crete, producing many different types of raw, unfiltered, unpasteurised, monofloral honeys. Crete’s temperate climate characterized by unlimited sun and almost no rain, gives our honeys a unique smell and a rare taste. Our organic bee products and extra virgin olive oil bearing our name can now be seen all around Europe.

Nowadays, the legacy continues as the next generation, Yiannis & Elena, follow the high standards set by their father in honey production. Yannis graduated as an agronomist and focused on the beekeeping science. Elena studied environmental law and marketing. By implementing fresh ideas on sustainable ways of production and packaging, Yiannis and Elena aim to evolve their father’s creation while preserving quality.
